It’s nerve-wracking waiting for news and, most importantly, the result down here in southern Australia. It must be agonising to be American and waiting for the result. Hoping for the best outcome for all of you.
Leaving now to vote! Harris-Walz!
Hopefully there won’t be enough of a red mirage (small pop rural districts tallied first) that Trump will falsely claim victory, but of course he will.
Fingers crossed in Canada too. Go forth and vote, USian heroes!
Positive thoughts from the UK too.
Trump cried foul about the results of the election he won, so there’s an approximately 0.0% chance he’ll concede this one regardless of the outcome. The only question is how many other high-profile Republicans will go through the motions of helping him challenge the results. Hopefully his grip on the party will finally wane when it starts to become apparent that he’s not going to hold office again.
Harris-Walz
Walz is my Gov . I guess you could say I voted for Peggy Flanagan for Governor of MN today, too, although she wasn’t on the ballot
edit: spelling
I have a Nigerian coworker, he’s an engineer, supremely polite and just all around nice guy. He keeps to himself, but engaging in conversation with him once in a while is always a good time and today while getting coffee he asks me if i’ve voted. I presumed that’s as far as the conversation would go so i just nodded and left it at that because people will avoid getting too far into politic talk (including myself). But he then asked if i’m voting for Trump orrrrr…
I wasn’t sure who he was leaning towards but i figured i should be honest about it. So i said yeah i’m voting for Harris. His answer was: “Oh that’s great That’s my lady” and we went our separate ways shortly after that exchange but the way he said it was so delightful
Ditto. I live in Eden Prairie.
Dear World,
About that IQ test… well, erm, we failed.
Love ya,
the USA.
I don’t think it was an IQ test. It was a test of morality and wisdom, and failing that is even worse.
