Pretty sure most gym boys do it, and post pics, to impress the bros. Not women. I don’t think they think women understand enough about lifting and building to fully appreciate what they’ve done.
Well that’s how it seems to me anyway but I will never be swole even if I lifted all the time and yoga is the bulk of my strength training.

Years ago I mentioned The Ax In a discussion of Westlake’s work at TOP. His son signed in and replied that that was his father’s favourite work, and I can understand why.
Warning, if you haven’t read it, it’s dark. Much darker than his other books that I recall.
