There is NOTHING awkward or embarrassing about this photo you are BEAUTIFUL and if I’d gone to your high school I’d have been the skinny guy in the Skinny Puppy tee shirt and black trench coat who was HOPELESSLY IN LOVE WITH YOU, you absolute GODDESS

Pic looks good and the girl rocks the look really well. I’ve seen some 80’s hair styles that are just not flattering to the specific person but for this girl it just looks right.

So she’ll be 39 in 2028. Still pretty young, but Kennedy was young, too.

The best bang for their buck would be to convince the Great Lakes states, starting with Michigan, to defect. Much more control over the world’s largest fresh water system, at a time when access to potable water is becoming harder and harder to find.

When Nina Simone Met David Bowie

David Bowie met Nina Simone in 1974, during a difficult time in her life. Nina had stopped performing, was dealing with legal troubles, and was unsure of what the future held for her. After attending a Bowie concert in New York, she was surprised to meet him later that evening at the Hippopotamus, a private club. He invited her to join his table and asked for her phone number.

A few hours later, at three in the morning, Bowie called her, beginning what would become a month of visits and late-night phone calls. He told her: “The first thing I want you to know is that you’re not crazy. Don’t let anyone tell you that you’re crazy, because out there, where you come from, there are very few of us.”

Nina later shared that David’s encouragement brought her back to the piano stool, adding, “He has more feelings than anyone I’ve ever known. He’s not human. David is not of this world.”
