In parochial school one left-handed classmate (1st thru 8th grade) “solved” that by holding his pen between his index and middle finger and with his pen angled away from his hand in a way that avoided having his hand rub over his writing. For that, he angled whatever he was writing on in a way that he could see what he was writing. His hand never “cupped” as shown in the video.

I don’t always agree with Skepchick, but mostly do. She nailed it out of the park with this analysis of the Costco not carrying mifepristone story, setting things straight in the face of widespread disinformation.
Also, her line at 1:52 had me laughing until it hurt!
