Get your game on!

I used to play this pretty much every day that I watched something on TV. Jerks.

Started to play Fallout 2 (it was free at some point from Epic Games) again. First to get the thing to run on a modern computer. Went with Unofficial Fallout 2 patch (version 1.02.31) and Fallout 2 Restoration Project (version 2.3.3). They worked after I installed the game to C:\ and run it from fallout2HR.exe. After that there was this weird flicker fixed that by turning off G-Sync. Played for half an hour and the game crashed now I remember to save every five minutes.

Still the best Fallout game ever made.

Fallout 2 is so good, would really love an HD remake.

I am currently playing this now and it is so good!!!

And I’m so proud of them for pulling the launch off without the shitty grifter agony aunts getting a cut of the hype.

I literally bought it on day one because they fucking deserve it for pulling that off. I LOATHE the ā€œgames journalismā€ leeches and dys-influencers and love that they didn’t get to profit during the development phase OR influence design.

I hadn’t thought about it that way. There are lots of opinions about Oblivion, and probably a lot of them are from the most toxic and obnoxious of the gamer crowd. Good on 'em for getting it done without subjecting themselves to all that junk!

I also picked it up today, but I only played briefly due to a RSI flareup (caused by trying too hard to finish my current game before Oblivion released, and not succeeding… :person_facepalming:)

My Roku trivia game was back on last night. Turns out they brought it back with an updated interface. I don’t know for sure why they had to take it offline for several days (and with no word about what was going on), but I feel like I played right into being part of Roku’s hype machine and I’m bitter about it.

I started playing it last night. $67 for a game I already own. :frowning:

But I must say it’s worth it. The game looks gorgeous and plays a little better than I remember, it has been quite some time since I last played it. I have the original disc for PC so I got the remaster for the PS5, I don’t need more than 5 or 6 games at a time installed on the main drive anyway.

It seems I won’t be sleeping for a while, lol.

Yeah it’s really expensive. I’m usually more reserved with buying things like that and would have held out for a sale.

But I was looking forward to it since I actually never played it before. I’d played skyrim and thought it was good but always kind of felt the graphics would make it harder for me to appreciate the world.

I’ve been absorbed. I know they changed some things I guess with leveling but I wouldn’t know the difference. It’s like I’m getting the benefit of others’ nostalgia.

to a T released a free demo of the first chapter of the game.

It is delightfully weird and different, with musical exposition, but unfortunately ends just as the game play starts to pick up a bit. The opening is honestly a little slow and not nearly as bombastic as Katamari Damacy, but I’m interested to see where it goes from here.

I think this is satire.

ā€œThank the lord,ā€ said Tammy Janesbeer. ā€œI don’t want to live in a world where my child gets their hands on a tariff-free gaming console. Who knows what kind of woke, satan-ass content they’d load that thing up with?ā€

That’s spot on, though. I think she might be my neighbor.

Hard Drive is to video games what the Onion is everything.

They have some solid burns, honestly:
