I’m not sure if this is the best thread for this, but it is about a gun crime. And, for once, a guilty verdict.

Considering a version of the “stand your ground” defence was permitted to be used, despite it not being her apartment, that’s amazing.
I’ve often thought about how this one would have gone if she hasn’t had a gun. I expect most people would have left to save themselves from the “intruder” and call the on-duty cops – and hopefully at some point before those cops shot the man someone would figure out she had the wrong apartment.
Of course, there always were the stories that she was never confused at all and was just using it to cover up a murder.

That was my first thought. Sure she was a cop. And white. But she was female and so, expendable.
Throw a bone to those bastards whining about how the police always get off.
But, I tend to be cynical at times.
