Happy Thanksgiving!

I’m making dinner later, just chicken and sides for two, but I started with my favorite macaroons. A few have matcha powder added for fun little a test. They are good but the flavor got a bit lost.

I could have posted this in the random silly grins thread, @howaboutthis but it felt weird to do that, a little too on the nose

How about a wasabi peanut in the center? :open_mouth:

They do look good!

Some would have to be artificial colors but you could do the whole monster gang. Something hot and salty in the middle sounds weirdly good.

We had Captain Jay’s chicken & fries & shrimp. I made a pumpkin pie w/a crust that everyone enjoys.

Happy Thxgvng!

Went to Mom’s. She and her husband operate in a different kind of time. They seem to be doing pretty well. It’s hard to see my mom getting to the old old age time of life. I am grateful every day for her husband who is doing so much for her.

I’ll be having Zoomsgiving with my family, while also hoping Leslie Jones has enough stamina to meet the demand!

Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate, and sorry this is late, :canada:.

What’s everyone making for the holiday?

My parents moved to St. Louis earlier this year, so we’re dividing the efforts… Mom’s doing turkey, mashed potatoes and pumpkin cake. My spouse is making spinach cranberry walnut salad, cornbread, and apple spiced roasted veg (rainbow carrots, parsnips, butternut squash, onions). I’m chopping vegetables and washing dishes…

Correction! She is not making her usual holiday spinach cranberry salad, but one in imitation of the salad she had at The Local Goat in Gatlinburg, and the butternut squash is in that. There’s sweet potatoes in the roasted stuff.

That reminds me of the menu from my fave holiday cooking show!

I’m having turkey, ham, sage stuffing, mac 'n cheese, collard greens, cornbread, and… :sob: apple pie. Can’t scale down sweet potato very well, so I’ll wash the apple down with Drambuie. :tumbler_glass:
