What happens if you don’t do background checks or training for thousands of people and you give them all total authority?

ICE has been caught looting and destroying property at Pittsburgh restaurants. They even tried to break into the safes. They loaded food, supplies and equipment into vehicles

DHS, Florida Covering-Up Contagious Disease Outbreak at “Alligator Alcatraz” as Detainee Suffers

Health Emergency, Disappears for 48 Hours

August 7, 2025, The Everglades, FL | Detainees at “Alligator Alcatraz” are being denied medical attention as an outbreak of a serious illness spreads through the facility. For 48 hours, one detainee-Venezuelan Luis Manuel Rivas Velasquez-was held incommuicado from his family after collapsing in Tent 5 of the facility and suffering a serious health emergency. Mr. Rivas Velasquez, who is 38 years old and was previously in good bealth, found himself unable to breathe. He repeatedly requested medical assistance from guards at the facility, but his requests for assistance were denied, with one guard telling him “I can’t help you”

Mr. Rivas Velasquez was taken to Kendall Hospital where he was told he was suffering from a “respiratory infection” Despite having trouble breathing, Mr. Rivas Velasquez was handcuffed tightly to his hospital bed while guards with guns mocked him and spoke to one another about the need to be “tough” on him.

Based on reports from fellow detainees who saw Mr. Rivas Velasquez lose consciousness and become nonresponsive, Mr Rivas Velasquez’s family feared be had died. On Thursday, Mr. Rivas Velasquez was finally able to contact his family and counsel. He told his attorneys that upon being returned to “Alligator Alcatraz,” officials took the medical records from his hospital visit and refused to return them to him. Other relatives of current detainees confirm that sickness is currently rampant at the facility.

On Thursday, Mr. Rivas Velasquez made the following statement: “We are all sick in this jail. Some are worse than others, it is an emergency. They are treating us like dogs, like animals. People are suffering from lack of medicine. Somebody needs to do something to help us.” Mr. Rivas Velasquez still struggled to breathe as be made this statement. Soon after he appealed for help, the phone call was abruptly cut off.

Mr. Rivas Velasquez’s sister, Ada Yeniree Velasquez Pereira, issued the following statement: “My brother is not in good health And according to the testimonies we have received, 80% of the people detained there are not either. This is not an isolated situation: it is a humanitarian emergency. I urgently request the collaboration of those who can help-organizations, media outlets, authonties-to protect the life of my brother and everyone else there. The responsible entities must assume their duty and not allow this situation to continue. My brother does not deserve to be treated like an animal, nor to live in conditions that violate his dignity and health. What is happening is unacceptable, and he must receive immediate attention.”

Mr. Rivas Velasquez’s pro bono attoreys, Eric Lee and Chris Godshall-Bennett of Lee & Godshall-Bernett, LLP and James Hollis of McEntee Law Group said: "Crimes of historic proportions are taking place at the

‘Alligator Alcatraz’ internment camp. Mr. Rivas Velasquez’s disappearance and potential near-death experience in the custody of DHS and State of Florida must be a wake-up call for all Americans. None of us can claim ignorance. Will we allow crimes like this to be committed by the government in our own back yard? This sadistic human experiment must be immediately shut down. All those responsible for creating deliberately inhumane conditions must be criminally investigated and prosecuted to the full extent of the law."

In Pennsylvania, immigration rights advocates are calling for the Moshannon Valley Processing Center to shut down after another death in ICE custody. Chaofeng Ge, a 32-year-old immigrant from China, was pronounced dead last week after he was found hanging by the neck in the jail’s shower. Ge had been held at the center for five days. Moshannon is operated by the private prison company GEO Group and is the largest ICE jail in the northeastern U.S. This comes as the number of people detained at immigration jails has surpassed 60,000 — a record high.

Earlier today ICE raided a Home Depot parking lot in my town. One person fled onto an adjacent freeway to try to get away from them and got hit by a car. Condition unknown. :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Update:
He was killed.

I’ll be going to the community vigil tonight.
