Make sure it all gets recorded by someone standing in the back who can get away.
Exactly my thoughts.
And using an app that streams it to the cloud in a way that deleting it local / having the device stolen confiscated wonât make the footage inaccessible.
The ACLU offers an app that sends video directly to them for a lot of states. You decide how much personal information to provide in the app ahead of time. Doesnât appear to leave a video on your phone.
In that regard, DHS detailed that to support this effort, ICE is offering a ârobust packageâ of incentives to join the agency, which includes:
- A maximum $50,000 signing bonus
- Student loan repayment and forgiveness options
- 25% Law Enforcement Availability Pay (LEAP) for HSI Special Agents
- Administratively Uncontrollable Overtime (AUI) for Enforcement Removal Operations (ERO) Deportation Officers
- Enhanced retirement benefits
I just looked for that one. UnfortunatelyâŚ
Why Now
To ensure compliance with a growing number of consumer privacy laws and the ACLUâs own privacy policies and to minimize risk with surveillance technologies currently used by law enforcement, the national office has made the decision not to renew our contract with Quadrant 2, the vendor behind Mobile Justice, and shut down the app on February 28, 2025.
Dammit. Removing.
Weâll have to look out for other options.

Local story on WABE of a man, David, who was here undocumented, and decided to self-deport and STILL got detained by ICEâŚ
Itâs a brave thing to do. Sheâll be lucky if it only comes to legal challenges and not an ambush by ICE thugs
Hmmmm. Soon or later this woman would be charged as domestic terroristâŚ
