Remember back to Purple Rain (The Movie). There’s a club scene with a snippet of a song playing. Wasn’t a Prince song (AFAIK), but had that “Minneapolis Sound”.
The only lyrics I could remember was something along the lines of “I Want to be a M < something > aire”.
The Great GooglyMoogly Machine was able to find … Dez Dickerson - Modernaire…
That club was First Avenue - a former Greyhound bus station. This fine man (IIRC) was part of Prince’s “Revolution” band. Eventually, Prince was able to purchase First Avenue. It remains my favorite place, ever, to see a concert. It’s not a large venue, and there are no seats, thus, the whole place is General Admission. Additionally, the stage is only about 5’ off the floor, so you can really get close to the band. Ahhhhh, so many memories…
Back in the '60s and '70s, my generation used to claim that Clapton was God. Blasphemous, no doubt. Also inaccurate. God was a Ukrainian Jewish Commie atheist of my Grandfather’s generation. Gilels was God.
Schobert (not Schubert) sonatas on a Tangentenflügel (tangent piano). The sound is fascinating. (The Bing link is because Bing presents YouTube videos without all the ads. Call it an experiment. )
