To be honest, I think Eddie Murphy is a better singer than an actor/comedian.
Hmmm. How did I not know he had a singing career?
I only found out last week.
He’s someone I generally don’t pay much attention to.
Only in Japan, you say?
Have I (or anyone else) posted this?
I don’t know if this is really New Order, considering the lack of Hooky, but it’s a great song. And Gillian is back…
Have I posted any of these already? New videos for Unknown Pleasures… 3 out so far:
I’m not a particular fan of either song, but I love these two music videos. The first tells a satisfying story in itself, and then the second one, without contradicting anything from the first story, adds some additional information that changes it into a completely different story.
I’ve been listening to the 2006 reissue of My Life in the Bush of Ghosts lately. It’s the first version I’ve heard that doesn’t feature “Qu’ran.” I don’t really miss it, but wish they hadn’t put “Very, Very Hungry” in the exact same part of the album. I thought “VVH” worked well as a sort of coda to the original album on my first CD, but positioned in the middle (or at the start of “side B”) it doesn’t really fit in with the flow of the other tracks.
A drum sort of night…
I don’t know what they put in the water over there, but… The lass on the left is Tamu Murata (go-to hired gun when a good drummer is needed); the one on the right is Senri Kawaguchi (her own jazz trio Triangle, tour drummer in Japan for Guthrie Govan).
The late, great Jon Hiseman. (With the late, great Gary Moore and the late, great John Mole. Don Airey is still going, mercifully.)
Even earlier nostalgia. John’s still going.
Happy September, everyone…
Did he not age at all for 20 years?
