To be honest, I think Eddie Murphy is a better singer than an actor/comedian.
Hmmm. How did I not know he had a singing career?
I only found out last week.
Heās someone I generally donāt pay much attention to.
Only in Japan, you say?
Have I (or anyone else) posted this?
I donāt know if this is really New Order, considering the lack of Hooky, but itās a great song. And Gillian is backā¦
Guess who I am!
Itās me!
Have I posted any of these already? New videos for Unknown Pleasuresā¦ 3 out so far:
New Chelsea Wolfe video:
On Tiny Desk concert from a few years ago:
Iām not a particular fan of either song, but I love these two music videos. The first tells a satisfying story in itself, and then the second one, without contradicting anything from the first story, adds some additional information that changes it into a completely different story.
Iāve been listening to the 2006 reissue of My Life in the Bush of Ghosts lately. Itās the first version Iāve heard that doesnāt feature āQuāran.ā I donāt really miss it, but wish they hadnāt put āVery, Very Hungryā in the exact same part of the album. I thought āVVHā worked well as a sort of coda to the original album on my first CD, but positioned in the middle (or at the start of āside Bā) it doesnāt really fit in with the flow of the other tracks.
in the parlarnace of the non-synthetic cishetero males:
Three new weird videos from some ladies I like:
A drum sort of nightā¦
I donāt know what they put in the water over there, butā¦ The lass on the left is Tamu Murata (go-to hired gun when a good drummer is needed); the one on the right is Senri Kawaguchi (her own jazz trio Triangle, tour drummer in Japan for Guthrie Govan).
The late, great Jon Hiseman. (With the late, great Gary Moore and the late, great John Mole. Don Airey is still going, mercifully.)
Even earlier nostalgia. Johnās still going.
Needs better vocals to become the camp classic it was meant to be, but still an interesting oddity.
Happy September, everyoneā¦
Did he not age at all for 20 years?
