I know The Saint was panned pretty thoroughly, but I loved it when I saw it in the theater in high school. Val Kilmer was cool and funny enough to carry the movie for me. And the soundtrack accompanied many cramming and paper-writing marathons.
I remember Bowie doing an acoustic performance of Dead Man Walking on one of the late night shows, too. It was pretty great.
Anyway. RIP, Val.

Iād very much recommend listening to their tiny desk concert, as theyāre a poet, and if you like spoken word, that first poem is pretty incredible.
