My nesting partner and I had a serious discussion before even starting to get estimates on this. We are well aware that this does make us even more of a target than we already were, but at the same time we know how much a loud public statement can mean to someone afraid to be themselves or feeling like they’re alone.
And yes, we have had a few neighbors express how much they like it!

That’s so awesome! There’s a house in town here painted in the colours of the nonbinary flag and my nonbinary 9 year old gets so excited every time we drive by. It’s so nice to see yourself represented out in the world, even if it’s just a paint scheme.

That’s out of date. I’m going to work with UK currency and minimum wage, because that’s easier for me.
Bob Cratchit would be making about £16/hr in 2021. The current minimum wage is £11.44 (going up to £12.21 next year).
