Molesters Being Outed

A professional organization I’ve been a member of keeps promoting events by the creep who cornered and screamed at me. They have multiple code of conduct reports (not just about inappropriateness with women) about him in front of the committee that handles these things. One of which I am a witness on.

Right hand, left hand … I don’t know what to do here, fully. Clearly a community discussion needs to occur, and I don’t want to be the person to bring it. But I think I might have to be.

Hoo boy.

I saw that in my newsfeed this morning and did a complete scrollpast; I already know he’s a sexual predator, and I wanted to keep my breakfast down.

I did a scroll past because I assumed it was one of the underage kids he raped that I knew about. I didn’t realize there was yet another one.

Of course there is; it’s never just one.

Since time out of mind, our society has been telling men like this that as long as they have enough money and power, they can do pretty much whatever they want to whomever they want, without consequence.

Tell me again whose lives are being ruined?

Because it sure as fuck isn’t the predators paying any price.

Fascinating turn in this story.

I always liked Janeane Garofalo, so this is all kinds of disappointing:

So, I’m pretty sure my boss at BellSouth Cellular’s R&D Lab produced his shows and was good friends with him. It’s really freaking me out.

47 men — including a school teacher, school trustee and a fireman

I hope - especially for the two who would have regular contact with children - that they go over their employment history with a fine-toothed comb, to make sure they haven’t already hurt anyone.

Yeah, you already know the answer to that.

My wife was in a jury that convicted a guy (a lawyer, BTW) of “going across state lines” to get sex from a teen-age girl. He also used some sort of chat program to find girls (this time, an FBI agent). They picked him up in another state in a store parking lot.

Just to point out, that’s not individual cases…that’s 500 MORE clergy with cases against them than the 185 already admitted to by the six archdioceses in the state.

I think the heartland of the US has an infarct. A really big one.
