Actually, it was 16, I think; that was the legal working age at the time. When you’re tall you can get away with a LOT.

Popular indie game Dev, Aquaria composer, and co-developer of Night In The Woods Alec Holowka is dead after being outed as an abuser and rapist.
Despite being outed by three people and despite his own sister confirming, the slimy scaled amphibian gamers have naturally taken to harassing Zöe Quinn and also harassed Eileen Holowka (sister of Alec and poet) to the point where both are offline and in lockdown.
This ALSO happened after a different and beloved Alec - Lifowitcz - was outed as an abuser. Lifowitcz had been involved in running Crash Override, a support group for the victims of abuse and harassment.
Execute every last Gamer. But also, remove power differentials. Abuse thrives on poser differntials and we should be suspicious of anybody who argues in favour of it.
Suicide is rarely the answer, but at least Alec won’t be hurting anyone else.

I’ve avoided talking about Minsky and his relationship with Epstein because I am so appalled I cannot form the words. He was one of the major figures in Cognitive Studies. A brilliant mind. No one is mentioning how fucking old he was at the time he raped this child. I’m heartsick.

I’m gonna have to talk to my brother about this one. From what I gather, he’s climbing the ranks too, having made a few presentations at Oxford since I last saw him in person (that is a big deal, yes?).

I haven’t followed Cognitive Studies in recent years; however, I see that Daniel Dennett is now at Oxford (used to be at Harvard), so if he is studying with Dennett then, yes, very good. Of course Oxford will always be a leader in any academics. Tufts also used to be a big center for Cog Sci.
I got to take a workshop with Daniel Dennett, who came to talk at Tulane, and he was really wonderful fun to be around. I would have loved to study with him.
