He is a great writer and this is sadly what keeps abusers able to continue preying on people. Everyone wants it to be some creep you hate, and not someone who is funny and smart and cool. It’s nice to see finally some people making headway against abusers but still sad the publisher felt this was okay in the first place.
It’s a trap for everyone. Communities of rich, privileged abusers and their enablers self-perpetuate over generations when this is kept in the dark.

The qanon shit probably assumed it was a librul. What a piece of shit Charlie Sheen is. In the battle with Tom Cruise for being a good dude in the public eye, this is not how I expected things to turn out.

The firestorm is growing. It’s not just being spotlighted in the comic book world, it’s coming out in the streaming community, videogaming, tabletop gaming/DND, the convention circuit, SF/F writing… I see name after name popping up on my Twitter timeline. An author I used to read just got exposed today: Scott Lynch.
I used to love Lynch’s Gentlemen Bastards series, but I doubt I’ll ever pick up another of his books after this.
Yeah, then there’s the Myke Cole, Sam Sykes, Chuck Wendig triad. I used to read books by two of them. Now I feel bad.
SFF is having a moment of reckoning. I hope they actually reckon.
I don’t think it’s on us to feel bad. We didn’t know. Though I understand, and feel kinda bad too. While I was a bookseller, I recommended Lynch’s books to people, so I not only read him, I helped others read him. 
I regret that now.
Sorry, what happened with those three? I’m not terribly familiar with them but looking forward to reading the one thing by Cole, because critiquing the myth of Sparta sounds like my thing. But I suspect anyone mentioned here is not someone to support.
