They bury down in the article that the women were added later and that they bought extra seats for the women. I think they could have maybe re-delegated some of the men’s seats to women. But it didn’t seem like it was completely without thought.
The women being added later makes it worse, not better. That they had multiple seats makes it slightly better.
That was a harrowing read, but I think the biggest shock was when USA Today – USA Today! – endorsed universal health care at the end.

Because when they started, they were the only paper not claiming to be a tabloid that had that stuff. They pulled down everyone else to their level.
