Or me, when people say I apologize too much for things, to which I instinctively reply, “I’m sorry.”

Thank you! I gave up on the Onebox, but I did manage a link to the Tweet.

Sigh. I really don’t think the “men like boobs” crowd ever really appreciate how much straight women are turned on by a man’s chest either. But they’d be the first to be mortified by women acting like the “men like boobs” crowd.

I ran into it myself, that’s the only reason I know.

They can even help in case of injury. I managed to irritate the cubital nerve in one arm, so I bought a phone holder off ebay:

s-l400

I used it, along with analgesics and daily arm exercises, and it helped. I’m no longer experiencing the symptoms (faint numbness and tingling in the little and ring fingers) that I’d been feeling.

The number of times I’ve dropped my phone on my face reading in bed is enough to want one.

I’ve done that too!

Glad to hear you’re getting better! I’ve been struggling with bilateral ulnar nerve trouble since 2011.

I don’t bike any more. I use the computer, but only right-handed, so it doesn’t explain continuing left-arm trouble. I walk around with my Kindle, I don’t know if that’s putting too much strain on my left arm. Or backpacks. Or just sleeping, on my sides, so I can sleep instead of wake up unable to breathe.

I think I hurt mine when I accidentally banged my elbow, and compounded it by sleeping wrong. I tend to move around in my sleep, and it’s recommended to brace the arm on a pillow so the joint doesn’t move while sleeping. (That never worked well for me, and more than once I woke up with my arm bent and the symptoms worse than the night before.) I’m so glad it got better, now I’m hoping I don’t re-injure it.

I wish I had advice, but I’ve got no clue. It’s funny, we don’t realize how much we move our arms during the day until something like this happens. :worried: I hope your arm gets better soon!

I’ve been listening to the book The Tattooist of Auschwitz as I have been traveling today (had a long drive today).

So, the book is a love story about the guy who had the job of tattooing numbers on people and his wife. This is supposedly based on interviews w the actual tattooist.

So, seriously, the love interest has zero personality AND the main character talks about how beautiful she is, you know for a chronically malnourished bald girl. It’s just vomitous. The details about Aushwitz are good and the love story is less prominent than advertised, so I’m letting it go, but the way the love interest is treated is almost comically absurd.

Ow. Authoritative smackdowns don’t get more authoritative than that.

That reminded me of A Room with a View, where the main character’s fiancee keeps calling her his “Rembrandt” and she slowly comes to the realisation he neither knows nor cares what her personality is like.

And this is why I never use a dedicated app for tracking any health stuff. Just a cryptic note in my calendar (a number with the event marked with a red background of you really want to know).
