They’re in Greenfield Village, home of the Henry Ford Museum among other points of interest. The whole of Dearborn, MI doesn’t look like that, lol.

My mother in law is giddy over Coney Barrett.

Hope she enjoys never seeing her granddaughter again.

Fuck her, and every other pro-lifer.

EVERY fucking time I see a woman supporting the current POTUS and his minions, I feel so angry, which eventually becomes sadness, then pity. I was under the spell of Patriarchy growing up - and the 1970s were so, so, so weird as a pre-teen! - and I remembering that worse than not having a job, worse than not having an education, worse than ANYTHING was for a woman to be single. I think being gay was second, not sure. And never realizing that most men in power just give out crumbs. Even Truman considered women’s rights (except for voting, but he felt the same way about Blacks, so…) a waste of time! What’s good for the GANDER will be trickled down to the goose, right? But now, I’m not so brainwashed any more. Well, better late than never, eh?
Who remembers Sandra Day O’Connor?

And ACB has already laid out how she’d be on the Supreme Court before the hearings!

At this point, I’d settle for Diana Ross as a nominee, and I can’t stand her either.

I consider myself to be an Bombeckian Feminist - don’t leave out all the women, and don’t make having a job outside the home a requirement for every one of 'em!

And Bombeckian Feminism? I couldn’t find it on the 'net, so I dunno if it’s been used prior to the above. But it’s certainly all-inclusive, according to the Equal Rights Amendment. And its main precept? mission? is to further the rights of all females when it comes to their bodies, their paychecks, their health care, et al, through legislation, the spoken and written word, and using humor to make the whole process easier to deal with.

It’s not that strident Friedanian or Steinemian (if anyone can come up with better adjectives than I have, PLEASE DO!) Feminism, which truly not only alienated a lot of men, but a lot of women as well.

Ohhhh, we got some STRONG women here, yes-indeedy-doo!

Okay, the big production number in this clip perfectly encapsulates my feelings about my creative pursuits.

She covers all the angles about why focusing on ACB’s children is so wrong:

“Performative familyship”? This great ship of womanhood in a neupatifamilia? Give the victims their space, except the mothergod who uses them? For supervillainous ends, for photo opportunities, for distraction.
