I love these hideous depictions of our Putrid Leader.
That’ll get MTG all riled up now about Jewish Lightsabers.
One could assuming the CIA could always manufacture complete deniability. It was the Mafia. No! It was the Cubans. No!
Its true form.
I very much like the Reform UK bluebottle.
Way to on the nail, man. Far too accurate.

I don’t get the Elon cheese business—can someone plz explain?
He was pandering to Wisconsin/Packer-fan voters (Packers fans are known as cheeseheads). What I don’t get is who it’s supposed to sway. I’m in Michigan, but I’m close enough to Wisconsin to still be in mostly Packers-country, and my ISP used to be called Packerland Broadband or Cable or something like that. Packers fans never struck me as being overly enthusiastic about fake fans, though. And the Muskrat is obviously not a big Packers supporter.
I think he legitimately thinks that cosplaying as something will be enough to get the rubes to love him…
Can what he’s doing even be considered cosplaying? Cosplayers generally seem to have a genuine love for the characters they depict. (ETA: I know the term gets used like this all the time, when used to describe Musk it suddenly struck me as unfair to cosplayers).
You’re right, though, he has shown that he thinks if he fakes something hard enough people should accept it (like his gamer status, engineering ability, understanding of sci-fi, possession of a sense of humor, etc, etc).
Not really, but I think it gets at what he thinks about the masses - that they are easily swayed by some shallow cultural signaling, so he can pretend to be “like” them by putting on a costume… and I think that’s true among some people, especially the MAGA faithful, who seem to have bought into the idea that Trump saying he’s all about God and Jesus means that he is… but they believe it because Trump (and Musk) are bringing them a message that they want to hear - that white Christians are the most oppressed group in America and need “saving” by some wealthy powerful elites. They want to believe he’s on “their side” because they see the whole world as an existential, manichean struggle between good (them) and evil (anyone not them).
But yeah, I love cosplayers and it’s probably unfair to them!
Well said! Now answer me this, how did I go this long without hearing of Manichaeism?
I don’t know that it’s covered much in a history class? Maybe if you take the first half of world history, it’ll be a mention? Or you take a religious studies class? Although it seems to me that the focus is often on the big world religions rather than the sort of smaller ones?
