They missed the obvious. One could treat them like pigs: Remove shrimp vein; wash vein; grind shrimp flesh into pulp; season the pulp as desired; stuff the vein with pulp; tie-off the vein’s ends wih fine sewing thread; fry, broil, or roast. Shrimp Sausage.

My only argument is that this indicates a straight-line relationship. I suspect in actuality it’s much closer to logarithmic.
