As far as I can remember, they never served Spam for lunch at Kahala Elementary School when I was there.

Rice every day, doled out with an ice cream scoop, but not Spam.

It may have been a bit oblate, but I don’t recall.

I do remember students had to help out in the kitchen for a day or two. And as office and library aides. They rotated through all the 5th and 6th grade students, then repeated.

You were lucky if you got the office or library.
