I have some bad news for you.
As someone whose ring finger is legit longer than my middle finger, I didn’t see the problem with the second picture until I saw the first one.
I was going to write a nice little post exploring whether those commercials were truly weird or just seemed that way to me, and that even though I couldn’t understand the explicit messaging I still kinda knew what was going on, and how it reminded me of other experiences where the ambiguity and intersection of cultural context was part of the appeal and resultant novelty, but I just spent the last I’m-not-sure-how-long rediscovering Los Amigos Invisibles and watching old MXE vidoes.
So instead, I’ll just leave you with this (fair warning: longish, low-quality video, slapstick, juvenile humor).
