I highly recommend Moxon’s The Reframe, as you can tell by my posting a couple of his writings in a row.

He’s absolutely great! I did order both his first book of essays and his novel, but have not read them yet.

Yeah, that one really nails it. Even for my friend who I’ve pulled out of the MAGA depths, a big part of it is because he had faith in me, not because I reasoned him into it. The desire for ignorance to be just as powerful as expertise is a big problem. It’s a lazy way of thinking that somehow, the “elites” who’ve spent decades of hard work to become experts can be matched or exceeded by magical thinking and zero effort solutions that is attractive to people - even folks who put in the effort in one area of expertise themselves.
