Yup, exactly. You want to get the shovel under ALL of the snow, so that as you push the shovel forward, it plows through and piles up the snow on either side of the shovel. Then you get a feel for when it’s time to actually pick up what’s on the shovel to throw off to the side, and then you start plowing again where you left off.
Also, it was clear that the shovel-user was not bothering to stick to the concrete walkway. Normally you wouldn’t clear half grass/half walkway. That’s just weird.
Cats definitely complicate some chores. My family once had a Siamese cat who loved being vacuumed. Thus we had to shut the machine off, change to the round brush, and then do his back. Affected efficiency. However there was one bright side. It was fun to take the brush off and suck his tail up the hose. He didn’t like that part.
i have to say, i have NEVER seen a cat act that way around snow. most are like, “wtf is this… it’s cold! eww! – and omg, now it’s WET!? I HATE THIS GET ME OUT OF HERE.”
