Speaking of math teachers, a year or two ago I read a book called Code Girls about the women who helped decode German and Japanese messages during WWII. One of them turned out to be a math teacher I had in high school. It was a real surprise to see her name in the book. They even had a picture of her.
She’d also been one of author’s sources for the book.
