This is interesting.
Not only does Michael Keaton tell a great story involving the Pope, but we get to see a clip from “The Mary Tyler Moore Hour.” I assumed all those tapes had been erased.
And H. G. Welles and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle are jelly as hell!
Addendum: I think the drawing of Verne is so cute!
I tripped over it quite a few times, and fell flat on my face.
For some odd reason, this quote reminds me of one from Tom Lehrer:
“His educational career began, interestingly enough, in agricultural school, where he majored in animal husbandry, until they… caught him at it one day…”
The last time I saw this cartoon, it was as a heavily-damaged print on a 25” RCA console TV. It’s strange seeing it so clearly.
