Sad. At least he had a long creative life.
I remember watching the Dick Van Dyke Show with my parents back in the 60âs, with Carl as Alan Brady, the nasty boss. So it was odd for me to see him in other roles or interviews, where heâs obviously a really nice guy. Thatâs the image I remember him by.
