RIP. We'll miss you

It used to bother me that they made such a big deal about how beautiful his singing voice was. Like, anyone who sounded like a Southern hick when speaking (especially when laying it on thick for a particular role) couldn’t possibly sing opera. Made it seem like they thought he was a performing bear or something.

When I was of pre-school age, Gomer Pyle USMC was my favorite mid-day rerun.

On Decades, or GetTV or something, I saw reruns of the obscure, short-lived the Jim Nabors Hour.

It was surprisingly well done. The jokes were funny, the sets were innovative and when Jim decided to sing a serious song it was moving.

So I will say :clap::clap::clap:

I’m gonna go ahead and post this, because sex workers are people too, and deserving of respect.

Mercedes Grabowski, aka August Ames died under suspicion of suicide Tuesday after being bombarded with hate messages on the internet for standing up for herself concerning her willingness to engage in sex acts with a man who had previously been employed in gay-oriented porn.

From NY Daily News:

Meanwhile, actresses are continually harassed by abuser-rapists like fake feminist James Deen who walks free because nobody believes the actresses he’s assauted.
Also, remember Christy Mack’s domestic assault case against bofriend War Machine?
Too many people think actors do not deserve respect of other human beings because their situation “goes with the territory”.

Rose Marie Mazzetta, formerly Rose Marie, formerly Baby Rose Marie. How long was her career? You can see her sing in “International House,” a 1933 film co-starring Bela Lugosi, Cab Calloway, W.C. Fields, George Burns and Gracie Allen.

There used to be some good clips from International House on YouTube, but they’ve all been taken down.

Here she is from '29.

She was a natural.
