credited with appearing in a “Betty Boop” cartoon.
i read that she started performing at 4 years old, so 90 years is a stunningly long career. she was aces on twitter, too – such a breath of fresh air. i’m happy her documentary came out to such great reviews and she got a chance to see how loved she was even in 2017 before she died. RIP, Rose Marie. we miss you already.
Another one of Carlisle United’s 1974-5 legends has died
Good bye to the youngest member of the house of mogh.
I saw them play at Audubon Zoo in New Orleans. It was a magical night. RIP.
I think we missed this one, worth mentioning even though I’m far from a Leafs fan.
oh wow – i saw them once live, back in the 80s. so good.
until reading his obit, i didn’t realize he played Dutch on SOAP! man, he was so good.
I guess it is not current news, but I only just found out that soundtrack composer Chu Ishikawa died last month (12/21/2017). Known for scoring many films by Shinya Tsukamoto (Tetsuo the Iron Man, Tokyo Fist, A Snake of June) and Takashi Miike (Fudoh, Dead or Alive), as well as founding the industrial group Der Eisenrost.
Sniff.
And now I have the theme song in my head.
Yes, he was in Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves too.
