I never had any doubt at all. I know for a fact that the CEO’s screaming loudest for stricter immigration laws are the same ones employing many undocumented workers. (e.g., ULINE.)

A raise of less than $1/hr, and the loss of the good benefits as public employees: decent health insurance and retirement plans and reduced tuition for themselves and immediate family members. Can’t let those low wage folks have a viable path for improving prospects at a goddamn university!
