I’d feel a lot worse for them if I thought for a moment they might learn something from this and vote using reason and compassion next election (if there even is a next election). I don’t care if they wish they could go back and change their vote, I care how they’ll vote in the future, and I have zero confidence they’re smart or decent enough to apply the lesson in a similar situation. If the candidates or even just the year are different they’ll do it all over again.

No… I don’t think so. I am honestly beyond angry with my fellow Americans who voted for this dipshit because they believed that tear shit down was a better way to fix the problems we face… And I get that not everyone has been as privileged enough to be able to read as widely as I have about history and how these sorts of “tear it all down” projects tend to go… But people had the ability to do basic research like “what is Obamacare” and “what does Trump want to do with Obamacare” and “what is a tariff”, etc… I get that people were mad about lots of things we should be mad about (including the stranglehold that big donations have on our political system with regards to both parties), but voting in someone of that class and brutalizing millions of human beings without papers are not going to fix that!!! Like… god, how hard was it to think through the implications of some of the things that Trump promised to do?!? UGH!!! /rant
