I had to explain to the Knoxville cops what graffiti was, as part of the plea bargain my lawyer set up.
I knew it would become normal in the future, it already was normal to me, and generally in NY, LA, Berlin, etc. but the Knoxville cops were still baffled by it.

Indeed. I have no idea where I got it. I came across it years ago, it tickled my fancy so I yoinked it.
For years (at least for the couple of decades that I’ve lived here), this was the site of a parking lot for a bigger development that was never fully realized.

This is more-or-less across the street. When the county announced they were replacing this particular library with a new building*, there was a huge outcry when people found out they weren’t keeping the flying saucer that stood over the old entry. So the architects worked it into the new facility.
(These were taken a few hours apart & you can see how the weather’s changed during the day)
*Very nice library; it has a fireplace…
