I observed that (although of the regrettable variety) years ago on a BBC TV program on fossils. Talking heads, all experts, would pop up, their names appearing at the bottom of the screen then fading away to be replaced by the experts’ role. One of the experts looked to be about 80 years old or so. Below appeared her name, then this—Head of Fossils—which stayed up way too long, in my opinion.
My phone was stolen in Garibaldi Station (in a classic pickpocket scenario) so I lost all my photos. Starting out fresh today with my new Italian phone…
Oh yeah, I only lost photos & videos from this trip. Everything else was backed up. Modern tech makes replacing a phone pretty easy. I was even able to transfer my U.S. phone number onto Ms. Shiv’s phone, so I can still get 2FA texts if necessary, with a minor hassle.
I had some great pics of murals and street art that I’ll miss, though.
Edit: it was here, a line of 5 buildings near the Barra station on the Circumvesuviana line
That explains it! The rightmost mural is not Jorit’s, that’s why it lacks the stripes.
It was a serendipitous find, because we were on the wrong line and we hopped out at this small commuter station (Barra) to wait for a return. We would never have learned of these murals on our own. Mistakes create opportunities, sometimes.
I dunno but I thought this tank looked really pretty because of the clouds reflecting in it. My phone is usually pretty frustrating to use but the stars aligned and the resulting picture mostly looks how it did to me in the moment.
