I accidentally unleashed an RSS post bot. the UI for settings is bugged and it went live without me knowing.

I am very truly sorry for unleashing the bot.

It looks like it should be slowing the rate of posts soon enough and should be all quiet. It’s good to know that the core plugin functionality is working, at least - in the event we ever want to do a community blog we’ll be able to create bbs threads automatically.

Unexpected bot behaviour: instead of creating new topics for each post it seems to be overwriting the post content (when feeds only contain X posts instead of all posts)

Heh, I was definitely confused, I wondered briefly if canadaland was sending out spam bots. I’m a supporter, though, and it didn’t seem like something they would do. Still I was also pleased to see it mentioned, so I went looking for an explanation and here you are.

As far as “very clever people making mistakes in experiments” goes, this one is pretty tame. I mean, it’s hardly a Bruce Banner level of oopsie, is it?
