Aww, Muppets! Love the Muppet Show.
Makes me so nostalgic. Remember when Muppet Labs was silly and ridiculous and not what’s going to happen next week?

So once more relying on “The Daily Show” and Stephen Colbert for current events, I’ve figured that the USA is not ready for anyone of Latino/Latina or Asian/Pacific descent, or anyone non-African or non-white - YET. Sheezus pleezus, Obama was progress, although Biden was chosen to appease the old guard IMNSHO (he knew LBJ, lol).
I have clothespins, nice plastic that have different sizes of gaps to hold different thicknesses of fabric or noses.
Addendum: Although the Old White Men are not showing too well; it’s hard to think of Elizabeth Warren as being 70 because, frankly, she doesn’t look OR act it. But then again, look how long it took for the majority of folks to think of anything over 50 as being old…wait…there’s more people over 50 now and maybe of course they won’t want to think of themselves as old…but you know what I mean? Like in “Marty”, his mom is 55 or something, and she looks like she’s 70. Am I making sense?
I must say, Mayor Pete has pretty blue eyes, but that’s not enough, is it?
Yes. I only found that out recently. I was surprised.
don’t be distracted by his eyes, listen to what he says and does. he’s really impressing me.
I wish there was a font that implied humor…
Which he also has a sense of; the bit where some girl mistook him for Julian Castro was pretty funny.
I’m trying, but my time machine ke lacinhcet gnicneirepxe spedifficulties.
Because they want to lose? Again?
Rich people are more connected to each other than to the rest of us, even if they are somewhat progressive. The elites (rich motherfuckers) of both parties can go fuck themselves. They are why Bernie wasn’t the Dem candidate last time. I believe he would have beaten Trump.
If you’re resurrecting Roosevelts, go for his cousin. He had a better sense of how to deal with corporate oligarchy.
I’m TeamTeddy
Yeah, let’s create national parks in order to have our own private hunting preserves. Let’s WALK up San Juan Hill, instead of ride. Let’s carry a firearm with us wherever we go. Let’s have the ego to have our face carved on Mount Rushmore.
Give me the man who at least stuck to his party’s principles and I don’t know…brought hope to millions of Americans during an extremely dark time in our country’s history. And somehow, managed to do this for almost twelve years and live with a crippling disability and keep the country together - with the help of others, though he was lousy at giving credit - during not just a killer economic depression but a damned World War!
The current POTUS is TR without the intellect and/or common sense - think about it.
Teddy’s policies aren’t as far-reaching as they were, but the legacy of FDR - good or bad - is still with us today.
Yeah, I know - trust-busting. But I thought that corporate structure would’ve changed somewhat from TR to FDR; wouldn’t that mean they’d have to be dealt with in a different fashion or with different methods? See the article below:

OTOH, even that is too kind. It isn’t just about party insiders maintaining their power; it’s also about the fundamentally capitalist and imperialist nature of the Democratic Party. Their primary function is to suppress the left.
Just like the Republicans, only with a different style?
How would he be treated today? Worse or better? Or is it possible to fairly judge? I mean, mental health of just about everyone is more widely discussed, if not accepted, at the present time. But would someone who openly admitted, “Yes, I was received X treatment for Y disorder. I am still receiving treatment (or have completed) and it is successful thus far, and I expect it to continue as such; if it doesn’t I will seek help again”, or words to that effect, be accepted as a candidate/nominee of anything at any level of government?
It all depends upon your perspective.
To a white, middle-class gay guy, the parties are very different. To an Afghan peasant woman, not so much.
From my perspective, both parties have the same damned goal: To run the nation/world as they see fit and for their self-interests, respectively, with either one maybe benefiting the rest of us to some degree or another, but definitely not everybody.
