So who do we elect this year?

Trump won his primary in 2016 because he was one of like… nineteen assholes, 18 of which were competing to be the biggest asshole. And then there was Kasich, doing the old-school R thing of being three pre-adolescent assholes in a trenchcoat attempting to sound like everyone’s nice priest, Father Bentley.

Sanders is not that. The politicians that curry favor with The Money are all attempting to be both humanitarians and recipients of The Money. Democrats don’t like that. There are a lot of us who might be pretty damned loyal to Sanders just because he knows how to say no to The Money.

Reminds me of the plot to Pink Flamingoes.

I said this over at TOS, but I’ll say it again here.

With everything coming out about Bloomberg-- his racism, his sexism, his classist bias-- he’s sounding more and more like a more polite and more effective version of Trump.

I know how critical it is to “vote blue no matter who”-- but if it comes down to a choice between Trump and Trump-Lite-- that’s a no-win scenario. We all lose. I have no idea what I’m gonna do if Bloomberg’s the nominee, because I simply cannot see voting for him with anything like a clear conscience. So I’m hoping like mad that Bloomberg gets squashed, and squashed hard, during the primaries.

In a Clive Cussler novel, he had a theory that being super rich was actually a mental disorder. If you have more money than some countries and still think you need more, that’s a mental problem

…a mental disorder with a reality-distortion field that can include upward of tens of thousands of people with the identical mental disorder. Those outside the reality-distortion-field who don’t have the disorder-(actualized) can instead fall victim to wealth-disorder-(by-proxy). Drive-time radio and Fox News were vectors in the nineties. It’s gone a bit more mythological since then.

He has to be the most Republican-leaning Democrat I’ve ever heard of.

He’s a fucking Republican, but not even a republican. Certainly not a democratic republican.

my aunt-- bless her heart, posted this to facebook:

Can’t help thinking that the term “serfs” was used to avoid something else…

Considering their “voice” is why we have the current mess, I’m inclined to let them lose it.

At least count us equally. Fuck. This midwestern idea that they are America’s manor-farmhouse. Fuck you, you’re in it with the rest of us. Take your noses out of the air and the opioids out of your pocket and pay attention for a change.

Serfs to whom exactly?

Has Hillary been riding through the countryside buying up dead souls or something?

Why serfs to urban millennials, of course. The article is about six months old.

yes, and early voting has been vigorous, which is what he said all along: if people turn out, we will win. Bernie’s speaking this morning at the UNR campus here in Reno, and i was originally planning on going, but i’m not sure i’m going to be able to make it now. i’m excited for the caucus on saturday.
