So who do we elect this year?

No idea what “LFG” means.

Let’s fucking go? Looking for group?

I doubt it’s Lincoln Financial Group.

“Sir, after six months of investigation we’ve uncovered the shocking revelation that Joe Biden is actually a woman. A volunteer admitted this to us and we have it on tape!”

It would be nice to be able to figure out which groups are conservative front groups… A different sort of detective work, that doesn’t lend itself well to undercover agents. Follow the money,…

I actively hate every single Biden supporter.

As a Canadian it’s all too familiar and heartbreaking to watch people coalesce around the absolute worst person who happens to not be part of the open nationalist conservative party.

Joe put the kids in jail, put kids in cages, put an entire generation in unkillable debt, teamed up with segregationists to fight against integration, had to be dragged into marriage equality kicking and screaming

I’ve watched as, in the course of two months, the Liberals and The Progressives lists their damned mind and declared open war on Leftists and even the mildest of reform.

I hate this election cycle.

My heart is broken.

I will do everything I can to help comrades, and I’m hoping that I can get my media company incorporated and launched this summer as an escape route for American comrades.

One of the worst feelings I’m getting from all of this is other self-described leftists shrilly telling everyone we need to just suck it up and vote for Biden even though he is objectively terrible, because of all the usual reasons.

There are a lot of reasons to believe Biden is a worse choice than Hillary was, both in terms of ability to beat Trump and what kind of person he is. I felt more ready to overlook that last week than I do today. I’ve gone from “I will definitely vote for Biden and I won’t feel too horrid about it” to “maybe I won’t unless it looks like a few votes in Missouri will actually make some kind of difference to the electoral college.”

And when another center-right Democrat faceplants, it’s going to somehow be the leftists’ fault again.

I will never figure out how it is a majority of people support policies like M4A, and yet a majority of people don’t want to elect the only politicians who want to make those policies happen.

The billionaire vote contaminates the issue. 2016 was two factions of billionaires, “legit” billionaires and shady billionaires. Shady billionaires revel in being shady so they can’t help themselves. The same is true of “legit” billionaires who want to just re-run the 2008 administration. The only thing we can do now is be fucking LOUD about the new old shady. Things will give. Eventually. If we survive.

Sanders could improve things with certain executive orders. And any Dem president and senate could pass statehood for DC, helping un-fuck the Senate, if they’re willing to be accused of a “power grab”. Not quite sure the situation in PR-- statehood would at least counter their current treatment.

But we really need to focus on outside politics, and down-ballot races, while making the best of the mess with the top of the ticket.

I hear you. I’ve been fighting off a deep depression since yesterday, when I first heard the reports that Sanders was struggling and would likely lose Michigan (my state.) I’m seriously considering unfollowing Xeni and at least one other Twitter account for their gleeful gloating and Bernie-bashing. If he’s not for you, then he’s not for you, and that’s fine. But how do those idiots truly think treating the votes you’re counting on as enemies is going to help their candidate come November??? Sure, alienate a good chunk of potential voters, then blame them when your choice loses… typical strategy, typical outcome. I am so goddamn tired of it all.

Some things she posts are good, like her musings on Gen X or updates on her cancer tests (she just got a clean bill of health-- yay!) But the political content has gotten… increasingly harsh, IMHO.

the Gen-X musings and updates on her cancer fight were things i appreciated about her. but i’m quite surprised she would fall in with the ardent bernie-bashing crowd. she seems so much better than that.
