So who do we elect this year?

Damn straight!

Hurray for democracy, I guess.

"The Michigan lawmakers, Shirkey and Chatfield, said that any investigations of fraud should be thoroughly investigated,"

Hah?

And I’m glad that it went through despite that Shinkle guy

But Mayer also asked for “a little bit of compassion” for Republicans who are grieving over Trump’s defeat.

Richard Vatz, a conservative professor of political rhetoric at Towson University, said Democrats and others should keep asking one question regarding claims of fraud: “Where’s the evidence?” At the same time, he urged them to keep the rhetoric cool in a “lower-our-voices approach.”

Said Bill Bolling, a former two-term Republican lieutenant governor of Virginia, who now teaches politics at George Mason University and elsewhere: “The emotions are so high that you’re not going to change anybody’s mind. I think you just have to move on.”

Phooey on this. These people have been shitting on liberals for decades. Such bullies only respond to strength. All the clowns who’ve been yelling fraud need to be brought up on charges of sedition and terrorism, and shipped to Guantanamo.

Yeah, but how does one get back at a guttersnipe without getting down in the gutter? Why should one sacrifice their integrity just to get even?

I’m reallllly struggling with that, myself. What would Gandhi do/say?

Like, who even MAKES right-wing cartoons? In the all of the history of animation that I know of, I’ve never seen or heard of a popular short or feature that was based on being conservative (this doesn’t include so-called “educational” cartoons).

I can only think of Mallard Fillmore, or whatever that was.

I meant animated.

Double phooey on this:

Said Bill Bolling, a former two-term Republican lieutenant governor of Virginia, who now teaches politics at George Mason University and elsewhere: “The emotions are so high that you’re not going to change anybody’s mind. I think you just have to move on.”

I’m not going to “move on” from facts and reality.

Didn’t Ghandi’s pacifism work only because of the particular situation in that time, place, and people? I don’t know much about it.

I don’t think it’s a matter of getting down in the gutter. It’s a matter of legal consequences for evil-doers. Alas, I don’t think our laws are up to it. Yet.

I don’t think so; after all, MLK, Jr. studied his principles.

B. C. got weird as Johnny Hart got weird, I know that. And again - I’m not talking about comic strips; I’m talking popular ANIMATED shorts and features.

Darn. I was looking forward to Trump being dragged from the Whitehouse in his underwear, “Cops” style.

And that doesn’t appeal to folks like Bugs Bunny does, do it?

If it’s any comfort, that can still happen; this just takes care of the funding and information B & H need. It certainly doesn’t guarantee that T**** won’t physically resist leaving.

(though the idea of having to hunt him down in WH with a tranquilizer dart-gun is fun to entertain!)
