If anyone deserves investigation it’s prez cheeto.
Is that Linda Eastman McCartney’s brother John, I wonder?
Mostly sharing for the scorecard, but some good news:
And, from that case… wow, I bet the judge was really impressed with the plaintiffs making them write this section:
It’s probably going to be all over Google in no time flat, but the other two are the more authoritative sources.
I listened to arguments on a Wisconsin case for throwing out the election results today… The lawyer on Trump’s side compared voiding the Wisconsin Presidential election results and throwing out all the votes to disqualifying an olympic athlete for having any trace of drugs in their system no matter how small (among other sports analogies… apparently this lawyer mainly does sports law. ). Also, argued that even though absentee ballot drop boxes had been in use for several elections, this time was different because there were so many more drop boxes available.
No way to tell which way the judge was leaning.
In other news:
Someone finally brought up sedition.
Maybe Texas will have choice but to secede.
I’m starting to think the Trump team’s strategy is to try to cause the brain of every rational lawyer in the country to explode, so that all that’s left is the lunatics.
“The party of the first part” kind of thing, which was used to satirize rich-people corporate law back in the good old shittier days. The sliminess of lawyers in politics will strain the metaphors of any generation.
Here’s a link to the Supreme Court docket for Texas v Pennsylvania, with all of the amici briefs, among other filings.

It’s like reading apologies for voter disenfranchisement turned up to eleven.
More in the “making rational brains explode” strategy… the State of New California and New Nevada State?
“Jumping the Kraken”
I like it but the metaphors and jokes are so piled up right now.
They could have just called it “West Dakota.”
They start off a bit lame with “Our bad.” and a “we had […] no way of knowing at the time”. But it does ramp up a bit as it goes along.
That’s how good revelatory journalism should be. Meh at the beginning, then huh?, then WTLF??!!
as a citizen of Nevada, we here in the north refuse to bend the knee to these upstart “New Nevadans” in the rest of the state.
Sure, the NCR and New Vegas are friendly now, but that’s all going to change in the battle over Hoover Dam.
Are they just having GPT-2 write these things?
I just wish someone had whacked together a brief on behalf of New New California and New New Nevada to support the defendants, just to really ramp up the absurdity. See how long it would take to get the SC docket looking like the old classics:
