Somewhere in the World There's Always a Sportsballs

That’s great, Lisa. You know what would have been better? If you hadn’t waited until Morecambe was just hours away from shutting down for good.

I guess the Tories wouldn’t have even done this much, and Nigel doesn’t care because it isn’t Crystal Palace.

I’m guessing that this won’t go down as Watford’s greatest ever signing.

Just weeks after being hired.

You know there were bans on British clubs participating in European competitions because of gangs of racist thug supporters.

Israeli clubs have quite the habit of rioting and racism, yes I’m looking at you Maccabi, though they have been reported in much of the international media in topsy turvy fashion as the victims. To be clear: Maccabi have caused trouble everywhere for years. It’s just that in Amsterdam they carried their own security with them. Precisely how active duty rather than off duty the spies and soldiers were we don’t know.

This shit should always be unacceptable, whoever is doing it. These guys can and have historically be radicalized too, whether it was skinhead football fans in the UK or right wing nationalists in Yugoslavia…

Maccabi who? It’s like compaining about the YMCA.

(I know you probably mean Maccabi Tel Aviv, but Maccabi Haifa also qualified for Europe.)

I don’t expect to see a Vitesse phoenix team any time soon. Becoming a professional team is very hard in the Netherlands, promotion from the amateur leagues is very hard as you have to prove that the team can survive. A lot of the amateur Saturday league teams also don’t want to play in the professional leagues as a lot of them are in Protestant towns and refuse to play on Sunday.

I thought he played baseball.

An opening day win. May the wins continue to come.

Morecambe are down to 11 contracted players now. Two of them are goalkeepers.
