I guess if the Browns (that was the team, that drafted him, right? I’ve already forgotten) end up as next year’s superb owl champs, that’ll tell us something about what’s happening here… that Shedeur was just that good and got passed over because he was too “uppity”, or if they suck, he was too arrogant based on his hand-egg lineage. Of course, it could also be both! I guess that’s yet another problem caused by a white supremacist society, that it’s hard to tease out where racism is the driving force or not.
These kind of questions are the only ones that make hand-egg interesting to me.
The stupid shit that sportsball teams make the young men do just to get their foot in the door. I don’t like the head injuries and everything that they do to their bodies for a 3 to 15 year career (depending upon talent and position). Sports Capitalism! Where racism and pure greed intersect.
The Browns despite being one of the oldest teams has never been to a super bowl. They signed sex pest, Deshaun Watson to a insane guaranteed contract and he ruptured his achilles twice. He won’t play in the upcoming season. Besides Watson, they now have 4 quarterbacks. If Sanders can make the team, that would be impressive. Despite all the self promotion, Sanders was just an average college qb. Teams passed on him due to baggage.
Football is a simple game, twenty-two men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at the end, Capitalism always wins.

Yup. Racism and sexism too often boils down to a zero-sum game worldview. Even in fiction, seeing anyone in authority who does not look like them is perceived as a threat. If “the others” are having a good time, that diminishes their fun / ruins their mood. In the end, they want those they consider to be “lesser than” to be worse off, suffering, powerless, and joyless - because it makes them feel better about themselves.
That’s why the NFL (never gonna forget the alternative meaning of that acronym) wants stories about players overcoming personal problems as a PR tool. I’m still pissed about Michael Oher’s experiences vs. how he was portrayed in “The Blind Side.”
I prefer turf races. The horses are classy, and the turf’s easier on their limbs, as well as our eyes!
