Iβm not saying here that the solution would be something biologicalβ¦ but the discussion reminded me of this old article about dolphins shedding their skin every 2 hours.
(excerpt) Until now, no-one knew whether the soft flaky skin of a dolphin, which they shed once every 2 hoursβ¦
(The article is not clear on the shedding process over that 2 hours. I assume it doesnβt occur all at onceβwhich would go against its ability to always achieve high speeds at anytimeβso the process is certain to be one that involves the uppermost dermal layer sloughing off gradually as new skin is grown underneath. βAblativeβ Dolphins!
Space se(X)?
Welp, Musk did warn us. Playing Buck Rogers on steroids comes before quality of life in the US. Gee. I wonder which programs will have major cuts or be eliminated. The poor must suffer so that Richest man that ever lived gets to play space-god.
(excerpt) Musk, who Trump has vowed will oversee the βefficiencyβ of government agencies if heβs elected president, said during a virtual town hall on Friday that Americans will need to endure βtemporary hardshipβ if Trump wins.
Musk says Americans will have to face βhardshipβ if Trump wins
Thatβs interesting. I vaguely remember reading about dolphin (or shark?) skin having mechanical properties that reduce vortex production and thus friction. But having skin cells slough off that quickly is amazing. Iβm glad people skin doesnβt shed quite that fast.
So, adding more classic leak-points for classified info tied to national security. This is just too fucking rich
Standard procedure in the military-industrial-political complex ever since that one guy banged two rocks together. Admittedly, profit rates rates have gone up a bit since.
Are ufos allowed here?
Okay, okay, Iβll start a threadβ¦

Is Betelgeuse a binary star? Phil Plait, of the Bad Astronomy fame, goes into it.
Is Jalopnik just now figuring out heβs a stupid dipshit?
