Those spacecraft probably just checked out the latest news and said, β€œnope”.

Space X sucks. We know how to get rockets into orbit. We’ve known how to do this for a while now. He is not going to get us to the moon or mars or any of that. :woman_shrugging:

Looking at the video of this failure with several of the Starship engines cutting out early and the ship spinning out of control, it looked remarkably similar to the mode of failure on the last attempt. Funny because last time Musk confidently tweeted within hours of the failure that he knew exactly what went wrong and how to fix it. He said no FAA mishap investigation was necessary, and seemed to get his way.

I think we all know what the root cause of this failure was, though. Too much DEI at SpaceX! (Dipshit Elon Interference)

β€œUnfortunately, this happened last time, too, so we’ve got some practice now,” Dan Huot, a SpaceX spokesperson…

Sounds like Musk-written boilerplate response to SpaceX failures.

(Found this keeper meme!)

Sounds like something Trump would say. All fucking smoke and mirrors now.

It’s almost like the whole β€œdisrupting” space travel and privatize it is a bad idea, but that can’t be right… I’ve been told that gubmits can do things like get men to the moon and such like… /s

β€œhere’s why it matters”… it fucking doesn’t, Forbes Magazine. A bunch of rich assholes going into LEO for a few minutes is effectively meaningless, other than being a waste of everyone’s time who isn’t a rich asshole. Doesn’t matter that it’s all women, since they are supporting a regime (via doing this via Blue Origin, Bezos’ company) that has made ALL women in America second class citizens.

But we’ve all but given up on an actual space program, that is supported by the American people instead of fucking oligarchs, one that pushes the important boundaries of space exploration rather than feeds into ignorance about what we can do and learn from leaving our planet. We’re not going to go to the moon, much less mars, with these chucklefucks dominating space and turning it into yet another place to rape and pillage in order to give the wealthy a new place to lounge around and lord it over the rest of us. At best, we’re gonna get mining nearby asteroids, until someone fucks that up, and it crashes into the planet, killing all of us…

We don’t get Star Trek this way, we got every fucking corporate space dystopia instead…

Not annoyed with you @ObakeBakaNeko! Just with people not paying attention to some basic arguments made by sci-fi… In this case being - LETTING CORPORATIONS DOMINATE SPACE EXPLORATION WILL FUCK SHIT UP!

I was wondering what you would say, especially since this is an initiative by Mr. Bezos.

In the end, we will really live in a cyberpunk dystopia like Expanse, Total Recall or Blade Runner.
