It was very frustrating to me as a cataloguer, that the Library of Congress does not have a heading for space elevators, or anything like. It could be; Elevators β Outer Space. So we had to use βElevatorsβ, and no, these are not Otis elevators, so it was a poor heading.
They only added βSuperheroesβ as a subject heading about 12 years ago.
If one day there are space elevators, Otis will build them.
Given our current n=1 experience with βwhat it takes to be alive,β I would take any conclusions drawn with a huge grain of salt. Given the temps involved, and the nature of the liquid matrix, I rather suspect that, if life does exist there,
