Talkin' about music

I’ve posted about her elsewhere about this artist but… This upcoming weekend (2/8/2025) i plan to go to a performance by Zoe Keating. Unsure if this type of music is up anyone’s alley, it’s very vibey soundscapes made by looping the cello by the artist. I first saw her live years ago in the hopes that i could get her to sign an album of mine of a band she used to be part of (Rasputina), but i left the performance a fan of her. She’s exceptionally talented but also just exudes kindness and thoughtfulness. The upcoming performance will be the 3rd time i’ve seen her live.

Music-wise it may be the kind of thing you play in the background, reading, meditating, etc but if anyone checks it out i hope you like it

I especially like the part with Antonio Badalamenti.

I used to have a Roland JX-8P and the Laura Palmer theme sound is one of the presets - I think it was called “Soundtrack”

I’ve been listening to the Broken English album for 2 days and Pussycat is like “you played that yesterday!”

Ooh, to add to my recent physical CD purchases, it looks like I’m going to buy a physical book, because there doesn’t seem to be a Kindle version.

ETA: preview no worky. It’s a new biography of REM.

ETA2: there is a kindle edition, I’m just on the Amazon app and you can’t buy it from there. I’m still getting the hardcover, I think.
