I guess I ought to say hello here? I was never a regular of part of the lounge on the other board, so it almost feels like I’m crashing. But it seems something I did earned me some kind of invite, and who am I not to appreciate something like that! So here I am, at least taking a look.

Yesterday’s office:
That’s a site that was recently subject to a restoration burn; all of that greenery is only a month or so old.
Homalanthus populifolius, Polyscias sambucifolia, Acacia parramattensis, etc. Lovely stuff.

Today’s office:
Fucking leech-fest all week; working in wetlands during the rainy season. Got about a dozen unhealed bites on me right now, and for every one that got me there were a dozen that I spotted as they climbed on.
Had a tick in my beard yesterday, too.

Speaking of offices, there’s a chance mine could change soon.
I had a call from an old mate about a job managing a lab; it’s the sort of thing that would’ve been perfect before I got sick, but now…dunno. But he’s having a chat to his boss to see if they can work with my peculiarities.
If that doesn’t pan out, I’ve been thinking about getting a job riding one of these…
