There Wolf!
It’s fine. I’m glad I got the message. I feel so seen! OMG.
There castle.

Ein Werwolf eines Nachts entwich
von Weib und Kind, und sich begab
an eines Dorfschullehrers Grab
und bat ihn: Bitte, beuge mich!
Der Dorfschulmeister stieg hinauf
auf seines Blechschilds Messingknauf
und sprach zum Wolf, der seine Pfoten
geduldig kreuzte vor dem Toten:
»Der Werwolf«, – sprach der gute Mann,
»des Weswolfs« – Genitiv sodann,
»dem Wemwolf« – Dativ, wie man’s nennt,
»den Wenwolf« – damit hat’s ein End’.
Dem Werwolf schmeichelten die Fälle,
er rollte seine Augenbälle.
Indessen, bat er, füge doch
zur Einzahl auch die Mehrzahl noch!
Der Dorfschulmeister aber mußte
gestehn, daß er von ihr nichts wußte.
Zwar Wölfe gäb’s in großer Schar,
doch „Wer“ gäb’s nur im Singular.
Der Wolf erhob sich tränenblind –
er hatte ja doch Weib und Kind!
Doch da er kein Gelehrter eben,
so schied er dankend und ergeben.
Each familiar face I see feels like fishing someone out of the drink at the end of Titanic. Forget Jack and Rose and that damnable door, this is the flotation device that matters!
I believe they also made drysuits for scuba diving.
I could see all those things being used in one trip:
I drove up to Clear Lake through the snow. I was wearing my boots. My old, reliable flip phone lost signal. But none of that mattered as I donned my dry suit and slipped into the crystal water of the lake…
Hello, beautiful mutants! Long time otherspace lurker, occasional poster of too much text, and big time community appreciator. I was crushed to see that a certain BBS was being swept away, and that I would potentially be losing one of the few bright spots of internet still shining - though not surprised, given how the landlords have been shifting over time, and how much of the joy had dimmed a few years back. Incredibly happy to see this glorious space, filled with so many people I appreciate!
Hello, beautiful mutants!
You made it!! Welcome!
Amazing. And surprisingly pristine for a children’s record.
Toontown represents!!
