Way 2 go!
Those are beautiful. Iâve had a few friends try on Etsy. I think the trick is not to rely on Etsy to bring you traffic and go out and promote other ways, from what Iâve seen. I have on friend who does pretty well with her jewelry; she promotes on Instagram and Facebook, too.
Iâve just started using Etsyâs in-house promotion thingie a couple of days ago:
It definitely boosted traffic, but weâll see if it has any sales impact.
Iâve also got it rigged to send a 10% discount coupon to anyone who favourites one of my things but doesnât immediately buy it.
I logged into Facebook for the first time in years to drop a note there; one of my cousins was kind enough to rebroadcast it.
Good luck! Report back and let us know how it goes!
BTW, 20% off if any Elsefolk want a bowl or whatever. PM me for details if anyoneâs interested.
Florida man is getting your bowl!
Follow me on an epic Instagram posting.
I took Amtrak to visit my mother, as I usually do, but I got carried away snapping photos.

And work you way forward.
Yes this is art.
About half were taken with an iPhone, the other half with a Fuji X30 shooting ORFs. I can tell the difference. All editing was done on Polarr for iPhone. No âfiltersâ were used.
Excellent Instagram journey!
And yes, that is a St Gaudens in Chicago Union Station.
Ah. Thank you.
I love the lonely McDonaldâs bag.
Props for going all the way from New York to the Twin Cities by rail. That must have been exhausting.
Very America! So wow! Seriously beautiful stuff!
Iâve done it a number of times. I find it relaxing at this point. For example, I finished reading Sweet Thursday and then wrote my review of it, which was also posted here. I also listened to âLowâ for the first time.
Furthermore, if Lovell and Borman could spend 13 days in a Gemini capsule, I canât complain about a day-and-a-half.
The longest train trip I took was nine hours each way. I got work done on the way there, but on the way back the internet connection flaked out. So, I read Children Of Men cover to cover, worked out a generalized solution for an MxNxN rubiks cube, ate an entire bag of all dressed potato chips, and drank a lot. All at the same time.
I have been meaning to take the New York to Chicago train for some time, but people my size arenât the most suited for long train trips. Compartment syndrome is a very real thing.
(it was part of my playlist while riding from Sydney to Tasmania, and now Iâm earwormedâŠ)
