It boggles my mind that people still bother to ask him questions. You know going in that every answer he gives you will be lies, bullshit, and obfuscation. So what, exactly, is the fucking point?
I mean, sure, report on what he does and what he says publicly. Point out the lies and bullshit, but don’t bother questioning him about it. Not unless he is answering in court and under oath.
I think one good point is to get it on record, to get it verified. Hearing and reading transcripts of his lies and bumbling incompetence and ignorance convinces all that many more people that he’s a reckless, bullying, lying idiot.
I think that can all be accomplished without talking to him. He babbles and blathers sufficiently unprompted. I guess adding a few more shovels full might help sway those thick enough to still be unswayed that can be. If it was my call I’d have my journalists doing something more productive.
Plus I’d love to see his reaction to not being questioned any more. Still reported on, still fact checked, still have his lies highlighted in his public statements. But no questions at his press conferences, no interviews, none of the ego stroking he thrives on. A pipe dream I know, but it amuses me. 
This might be presuming too much, but maybe they’re also hoping to get his increasing dementia “on record”. he really doesn’t seem to know what any of the questions are specifically referencing anymore, just gabbles about “we’ll see” or “other people are handling that” @#$!
